Take the confusion out of finding natural health, alternative medicine & complementary health businesses for your needs. Also find healthy recipes, get stress relief, read a book, WIN prizes & more!
Maybe you are already in the medical field, even a Patient Care Assistant and you have some patients who would rather use alternative medicine whenever possible instead of conventional medicine. As a care giver you might consider it worthwhile to train in alternative medicine (holistic and/or natural healing). Your study will include but might not be limited to naturopathic medicine (herbal medicine), therapeutic massage and even acupuncture.
Prerequisites to earning your certification in Alternative Medicine: High School Diploma or equivalent and command of the English Language.
Do your research as there are many programs in colleges around the country who offer studies in Alternative Medicine. A good place to start would be with The Bureau of Labor Statistics’ “Occupational Outlook Handbook”.
This certificate can be a good addition along with your other medical certifications: Patient Care Technician, EKG Technician, Phlebotomy Technician and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
Remember adding new medical certifications to your Health Care Resume will not only increase your usable work skills, but it will put you in better position for jobs that will pay higher salary, provide more benefits and allow you more flexibility in the health care industry.
